About the Open-Resource Hub
Traditional textbooks are no longer necessary. Some students, whether we like it or not, may never touch a physical book. Call it a sign of the times if you must, but adaptation to changes in the environment is the key to thriving as individuals and as an institution.
“The Hub” intends to be an open-access resource for all instructors of composition at Scottsdale Community College and beyond. The goal of the Hub is to contain materials that are free and modifiable. As we work toward that goal, keep in mind the following distinctions:
Some materials may be used, distributed, and even modified according to their Creative Commons licenses, which look like this:
This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License.
Be sure to use/modify/share according to the license. If you would like an overview of licensing, consult Creative Commons.
Some materials are simply available online via the usual hyperlink. Use these according to their individual licenses.
We want to make the navigation of this challenging and innovative frontier as painless as possible, so we encourage you to check out our OER DIY MOOC (linked at the right under OER Information).
